IF it doesn't need mending - don't fix it! Good advice of old.
This country has done so much unnecessary fixing, in recent years, nothing works like it did anymore.
I have been trying to think of something, anything that does but to no avail.
Privatisation, Railways, Electricity, Gas, Water all now owned, in a confusing way by a mish-mash of different company's, many foreign.
British Telecom, not the same since privatised. Directory Enquiries.. in a mess.
Council Services, Call Services.. and the waiting and Mozart.
Multiplicity of television channels - none of them entertaining.
And now it is the turn of the National Health Service and Foundationing.
Have I missed something? Supermarkets perhaps.
Oh, yes, I nearly forgot, the new Labour Government and Blair.
None of these fixes have really improved our lives, have they? Just frustrated them.
