NOMINATIONS are being sought for outstanding members of the Upton community to collect a town council award.
The council is looking for candidates for its annual civic award, given to those who make a difference around the town.
This year's winner will receive a certificate at the council's open meeting in May.
The winner last year was Martin Harker, who cycles miles to visit the elderly and infirm and works for a weekly lunch club.
Mayor Eric White said nominations could be for anyone who has been doing things in the community without a fuss.
"There are an awful lot of people out there who do an awful lot of things without any thanks," he said.
Nominations should be submitted in writing to town clerk Priscilla Beattie at the Memorial Hall on Old Street.
