FORMER weathergirl Wincey Willis has turned up at County Hall to launch a new scheme aimed at getting people in their 40s and 50s back to work.
The scheme, organised by the British Trust Conservation Volunteers, will provide a free course for the unemployed aged between 45 and 59.
It will teach them vital skills to give them the confidence to find employment.
"I'm really excited that there is finally a course that caters for my age group, many people have a lot to offer the community," said Miss Willis.
"Age equals experience and it shouldn't be wasted," added the former TVAM weathergirl, training outreach officer for the BTCV.
The 12-week course, Second Spring, is funded by the Learning Skills Council for Hereford and Worcester.
Anyone interested should call the BTCV on 01905 610289.
