A WOMEN'S rugby star from Droitwich Spa has passed a landmark in her distinguished career.

Nicky Crawford (pictured), who lives in the town, marked her 51st England cap with a hat-trick in the 51-10 victory over Ireland at Twickenham in the women's Six Nations on Saturday, March 6, taking her international try tally to 51.

Nicky, aged 32 and who plays club rugby for Worcester, said: "It was absolutely fantastic to score my 50th try. It was a great occasion, a great place to do it, and a great team to do it for."

England have won all three of their Six Nations matches. They face Wales this Saturday and France the week after.
