CHAINWIRE'S efforts to beat Division Five favourites Highley were thwarted by the wet weather.
Saturday's match was abandoned with Chainwire gaining nine points and Highley seven.
Chainwire won the toss and put Highley in to bat but their innings was only held together by Nigel Humphries who smashed 112 runs, including 13 fours and three sixes.
Good bowling by Steve James (4-19), Russell Tovey (3-40) and Lee Stuart (3-49) restricted Highley to 167 all out from 44 overs.
Stuart scored 30 not out for Chainwire to leave the game evenly poised but the weather put an end to play with the Kidderminster side on 41-1.
Highley 167, Chainwire 41-1.
