A SNARLING dog left puncture wounds in a workmen's leg after attacking him in a Worcester street, a court has heard.
Mark Barnes, of East Street, Arboretum, is likely to have a controlling order imposed forcing him to look after his springer spaniel following the incident on Thursday, November 6, 2003.
Worcester Magistrates Court heard yesterday how the brown and white animal escaped from behind a gate and bit workman Norman Baldwin on each calf through his heavy work jeans.
Connie Davis, former chairman of the Arboretum residents' association, said she had received several complaints about the dog.
She added that she had seen it growling, barking and snarling with its teeth bared on the same morning as the attack on Mr Baldwin.
Magistrates found that the case against Barnes was proved in his absence and adjourned the matter until Wednesday, May 19, to notify him of the outcome.
