A CONVENIENCE store in Bromyard has been given a major overhaul, with three new jobs created in the process.
The Co-op's acquired Alldays store in High Street has had a £180,000 refit and its new look will be unveiled today.
The revamp includes automatic doors, disabled access, new fittings and refrigeration and the introduction of a video and DVD rental service. A range of Fairtrade products and in-store baked breads will also be available.
Manager Nicola Pearson said the emphasis would be on providing fresh foods with the range doubled, including the introduction of fresh meat and chilled fruit and vegetables.
"We provide a much valued service in Bromyard and I am delighted the new look store will better meet the daily food shopping needs of the local community," she said.
The consumer-owned Co-operative group bought into the Alldays chain of 600 branches 19 months ago and the High Street store alterations are part of a three-year multi-million pound conversion programme across the country.
