IT has been an exciting year for the police, says a top cop.
Many achievements have already been made in the north Worcestershire policing division, with more to come, promises divisional commander, Chief Superintendent Mark Howard.
The new division, one of the busiest in the West Mercia Constabulary, was set up with the aim of working closer with partners and is celebrating its first year of operation within the Malvern Hills district.
Since then Tenbury Wells has seen major practical improvements as well as an increase in officers at its Berrington Road station.
Chief Supt Howard says: "It has been a year that has seen many changes, particularly in staffing, but we have settled into our new roles and the way we manage our work.
"It has also been challenging too. We have carried out pro-active work, dealt with day-to-day crime and managed the more serious crime that has hit the headlines, but we are not complacent, there is still much to be done and I firmly believe that, at the end of every statistic, there is a victim and that's why we are here, to ensure justice for them."
