YOUNG PEOPLE'S PROJECT: The recently formed Group is making progress with support from the young members and the village generally. Funds have been received from a bingo session and a donation from the Willersey Footlights Show.
WEDNESDAY CLUB: The theme for the meeting was 'Skills, Crafts and Collections' when members exhibited items. The exhibition was enjoyed and was worthy of viewing by a much wider audience. The next meeting will be a talk by Peter Gale on British Castles and the speaker at the following meeting will be Miss Jill Watson on The World of Sundials. Meetings are held fortnightly on Wednesday afternoons in the village hall and new members are welcome.
FOOTLIGHTS: After the recent successful show it has been decided to stage a show in Spring 2005. Neville Jelfs (01386 858351) would be pleased to hear from anyone wishing to take part.
A coffee morning will held on May 31 at the village hall to raise funds for equipment.
MOBILE POLICE STATION: The next visit to the village will be on Wednesday from 3.15pm to 4.15pm. Inquiries other than emergencies should be made to 0845 090 1234 or visit the mobile.
PARISH WALKS: The next walk will be on Sunday, leaving the Jubilee Seat at 2pm for a three to four mile walk.
MUNCH BRUNCH: The next lunch will be on Wednesday, May 19 at 12.30pm at the Methodist Church room.
VILLAGE FORUM: The next meeting, open to all residents, will be on Tuesday, June 1 at 7.30pm at the village hall. Enquiries to 01386 858448.
CHRISTIAN AID WEEK: There will be a house-to-house collection in the week beginning on Sunday. Envelopes can be obtained from and offers of help made to 01386 853259 or 01386 853400.
