OPERA lovers are in for a rare treat when one of London's premier touring opera companies sings out for two local charities at a special musical evening in Worcester Cathedral this summer.
Pavilion Opera will be performing Donizetti's comic opera L'elisir d'amore (The Elixir of Love) in the Cathedral on Thursday, July 8, in support of Acorns fundraising appeal to build a new children's hospice and the Cathedral's Appeal for Music and Light.
Now in its 24th season, Pavilion Opera performs popular operas in the round and fully costumed.
The performance starts at 7.30pm and ticket holders are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy on the College Green and in the Cloisters from 6pm to 7.15pm. Tickets cost £60 available in advance only from Huntingdon Hall box office on 01905 611427and for details call 01905 28460.
