Parrish has enjoyed three promotions before from Division Three, twice with Northampton Town and once with Chesterfield.
The competitive left-footed midfielder with an eye for goal turned down a one-year deal with Chesterfield to sign for two years with Harriers in summer 2002.
Parrish, who can move back to full-back, came up against Harriers in the Conference for Telford United after he was freed by Shrewsbury Town as a teenager.
The Wrexham-born player eventually returned to the Football League with Doncaster Rovers in 1994 and earned a £35,000 move to Northampton two years later.
Parrish's goals and positive attitude helped them to promotions in 1997 and 1999 before he did the same for Chesterfield in 2001.
He suffered injury problems in season 2001/02 though he still made 25 appearances before becoming Ian Britton's first major signing as manager.
Despite scoring some impressive goals, he did not hold down a regular place in Britton's first season in charge.
