LAST week's derby clash between Chaddesley Corbett and Wyre Forest Brintons ended all square at 1-1.

Forest Brintons had chances to be 3-1 ahead by half-time but an inability to put them away kept their rivals in the West Midlands League Division One South match.

Oakes put the Kidderminster side ahead with a close-range header following good work by Lee Jordan.

But Craig Pratt, on his return from injury, equalised for Chaddesley when he chased a long ball to nod it over the advancing goalkeeper.

Chaddesley dominated the second half without creating many chances and a draw was a fair result.

Oakes and Jack Wassell were the pick of the Forest Brintons side but their young players, keeper Jamie Wassell, Sean Evans, Sam Wilby, Danny Mason and Wayne Berry, are all outstanding prospects for the future.

Chaddesley striker Pratt said: "It was pleasing to score on my return from injury. I know I have had an indifferent season but I am looking forward to next season.

"Chaddesley Corbett are the only club I want to play for and I am sure they are heading in the right direction".

The venue for Chaddesley's game at home to Gornal Athletic on Saturday is yet to be arranged.

Forest Brintons beat Ludlow Town Reserves 2-1 in a re-arranged league fixture yesterday evening.
