The Great Britain Spring Simultaneous Pairs Competition took place in April, when 4,538 players took part in clubs all over the country.
Four members of Cleobury played at Tenbury Bridge Club where Steve Clifton, paired for the first time with Gerald Link, came 23rd in the country, and Gerry and Glenis Payman came 472nd.
With regard to club results, Mr Clifton and Nigel Wilkins won the north-south position with 62 per cent, followed by Nick Holcombe and Sarah Green on 54 per cent.
East-west first place went to G and Joy Link with 63 per cent, followed by Norman and Jo Hall with 56 per cent.
The previous week a Howell movement was played, where N and J Hall took first place with 62 per cent, and second were Tony Wilson and Pat Smith with 59 per cent, just one percent ahead of Philip Morgan and Wendy Duley.
