A MEMORIAL to a Bewdley dentist is to be placed in a town centre park.
Money earmarked for improving Jubilee Gardens, in High Street, will include a lasting memorial to Peter Clark, who died last year.
The Kinlet resident worked at Bewdley Dental Practice in Load Street and the news comes after a request from one of his patients.
The Wyre Forest district councillor for Bewdley, Stephen Clee said: "I have been approached by a local family who thought it appropriate that, as Mr Clark had practised in Bewdley for many years, a memorial in his name should be considered."
A tree with a plaque inscription was one option being considered as part of the £93,000 grant to Wyre Forest District Council, to be spent on improving the gardens.
Mr Clee, who is also Mayor of Stourport, added: "The timing of this is perfect.
"I am delighted we can accommodate this request from a resident."
