The latest round of the Ludlow Cycling Club's time-trial league saw a good turnout in fine weather for the 11.4 miles race.
The circuit takes in Ludlow by-pass before turning at Ashford and heading back via Sheet Road traffic island for another lap.
Climb On Bikes' rider Phil Mason set a fast early pace with a first lap time of 13:47, leaving closest rider Chris Lines (Ludlow CC) trailing at 14:28. Phil Weaver was sitting tight in third and then pushed on in the second lap to take back the second place deficit to finish ahead of his teammate by 4 seconds. Phil Mason held on to the large lead and showed the rest of the field his superb form. The fastest three Ludlow riders following him all did personal best times for the course but still were over a minute adrift from his finishing time.
