A SELF-employed bricklayer from Worcester has been banned from driving for three years.
Douglas Austin, of Coombs Road, off Ombersley Road, yesterday admitted at Worcester Magistrates Court to drink- driving.
On Sunday, April 25, police stopped 48-year-old Austin in Camp Road, Grimley, near Worcester, for not wearing a seatbelt.
However, officers smelled alcohol on his breath and a breathalyser test revealed that he had 55mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Austin admitted having a drink-drive conviction from 1995. He was also fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £43.
