LIONS were on the prowl in Madresfield as a new drama group for youngsters kicked off last week.
The Drama Platform is a school run by professional actress Kelly Hull at the Madresfield Early Years Centre and covers areas like improvisation, poetry and character work.
On Thursday, children aged five and upwards took part in the first sessions, when they tried to get inside the mind of a lion.
Ms Hull, who said she started the class because of the lack of drama facilities for children in the area, said it had gone well.
"They really enjoyed it, we did The Lion by Ogden Nash. Parents seem really positive, they said they had been looking for something like this for ages," she said.
The classes are run on Thursdays for children aged five to six, six to eight and eight to ten, and on Saturdays for children aged nine to 12 and 13 plus. There are also classes held in Malvern. For details ring Ms Hull on 01684 569201.
