WITH final positions fixed after All Blacks had gained top spot in the Worcester Saturday League division one after their win over West Malvern earlier in the week, Welland set out to repeat their earlier cup victory over All Blacks.
ALL BLACKS 1, WELLAND ATHLETIC 1
When Derrington scored an impressive goal, after good work on the right from Mark Amott and James Forrester, all looked on track.
However, early in the second half All Blacks equalised with a penalty. Joe Taylor made a first sub's appearance and looked lively in midfield and Ben Nineham also returned after his ankle fracture eight weeks earlier.
Welland look forward to life in the premier division next season and are interested in strengthening their squad. Interested players should contact Richard Coles on 07836 291575.
