HAVING recently changed my car, I visited the Malvern Tourist Office to change the registration number on my recently purchased resident's parking disc.
As if the authorities don't already extract enough money from the motoring public, I was informed I would have to pay £1.50 for a new disc. Why a new disc when all that was required was a small sticker applied over the existing number and the new one written on top with a small official stamp applied to the alteration.
Despite the ever increasing amount of money taken from the motorist, our road surfaces continue to deteriorate and must be the worst maintained in Western Europe.
Perhaps my £1.50 will go towards buying a tin of white paint to put a ring around another hole?
