WELL-dressing decorations on two of Malvern's most prominent water features were wrecked by vandals at the weekend.
The Temperance Foun-tain, on the edge of Malvern Link Common, and the Stocks Fountain, on North Malvern Road, were attacked.
Both had been decorated as part of the annual well-dressing competition.
Janice Gibbons and Joyce Dawkins, of Malvern Civic Society, had been highly commended by judges for their decoration of the Temperance Fountain.
But on Friday night, vandals stole a figurine from the display and the following night it was wrecked altogether.
Katherine Barber, of Malvern Civic Society, said: "It happens every year unfortunately. It must be people coming back from the pub drunk."
The Stocks Fountain had been decorated by its well warden, Mel Platt.
