GAVIN Poupart was the fastest rider in the Velo Club Sevale's time trial held on a shortened version of the Chance Lane course because of road works with a time of 20min 50secs.
New rider Rob Wood produced an excellent ride of 21min 56secs in his first ever time trial.
Of the two-up pairings, the senior/veteran combination of Mick Potter and Harry Treadwell proved too fast for the veteran/juvenile combination of the O'Toole family.
The full results were: 1 G Poupart 20.50, 2 R Wood 21.56, 3 M Amery 23.57, 4 J Sharrock 24.28, 5 J Barnett 25.02, 6 H Treadwell/M Potter 25.23, 7 S Price 27.14, 8 S O'Toole/K O'Toole 27.37.
The next event is 15-mile time trial using the Welland/Rye Cross/Sledge Green/Longdon course, starting at 7pm on Thursday (May 13).
