MALVERN United Angling Association held their AGM and prize giving at the Newtown Club last Thursday and it was very well attended by members new and old.
The chairman, in his address, commented that it had been a difficult year and thanked the committee for all its support and hard work.
The match secretary gave his report on the contests for last season. He commented that the Severn had been inconsistent but had improved as the season progressed, also the Avon where members were coming to terms with the new venue and weights were improving.
The pool had again proved popular with members and work was ongoing to improve the venue for members. He also said that he would like to see some new faces at contests next season.
After the close of business the trophies were awarded, this year presented by club stalwart Ronnie Thomas, who had bought a new suit for the occasion.
Members then enjoyed a buffet followed by a raffle.
