FIREFIGHTERS in Worcester were hosing down county residents' cars at the weekend in a bid to raise cash for charity.
Kind-hearted crew were at the Homebase car park in Tybridge Street on Saturday, washing people's cars for a donation.
All the cash raised will be split between the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund, which helps widows and orphans of deceased firefighters, and Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
Acorns is currently campaigning to raise the final £1.3m of the £4m it needs to build a new hospice in Bath Road, Worcester.
The hospice will provide care and support for more than 250 children from Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, who are suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
