VOLUNTEER litter wardens have been out and about ensuring the city remains clean and welcoming to residents and visitors.
Most recently around a dozen people, armed with their litter pickers, tackled the rubbish around the canal near Perdiswell Leisure Centre as part of The Duckworth Trusts' Rubbish? Sort It! campaign.
On Saturday the chairman of the county council, Councillor Derek Prodger, who is also city council cabinet member for community services, joined the volunteers.
"It went extremely well," said Coun Prodger. "I think the site is a very important part of the city's leisure and pleasure activities.
"I would like to say a special thank you to the volunteers who do an excellent job."
