Redditch Arrows 6
South Wales Warriors 6
Redditch Arrows and South Wales Warriors battled all Sunday afternoon only to see honours shared in the top of the conference clash.
Both teams came into the game having won their opening fixtures and it became apparent that neither team was going to have an easy afternoon if they were to snatch the victory.
The first half was a defensive battle, both teams putting together a couple of long offensive drives.
The Arrows best effort when they came up short on the Warriors 3 yard line and a 10 yard field goal just sailed wide.
The Warriors gradually took control in the second quarter put together their best drive late on.
With less than a minute left they had first and goal on the Arrows 3 yard line.
The Arrows defence however raised to the occasion and forced a fumble to prevent the visitors going in with a half time lead.
The second half started in explosive fashion when on the second play the Warriors opened the scoring on a 55 yard option play for a 6-0 lead.
But the Arrows responded and quarter back Dave Stanton hooked up with Stuart McNeil for a 13 yard pass to level the scores at 6-6.
The Kings Norton Rugby Club tenants' next home game is on May 16 Coventry Jaguars (ko 2.30pm).
