IT is 50 years since Wales's most famous son Dylan Thomas died before the first broadcast of the radio play and stage performance of Under Milk Wood.
Directed by Michael Bogdanov, this new production, staged to commemorate the anniversary and to celebrate the launch of the Wales Theatre Company, is at Malvern's Festival Theatre next month.
Under Milk Wood recounts dreams, gossip and waking hours of the sleepy seaside town of Llareggub on a spring day.
A spokesman said: "The play is funny, touching and delightful, reflecting the places he knew and grew up in Wales - particularly Laugharne, New Quay and Swansea."
Under Milk Wood plays from June 1-5. Tickets, priced £10-£16 (students £8) are available from the box office on 016984 892277 or online at www.malvern-theatres.co.uk
