FIVE players from Droitwich Spa RFC First XV have missed out on the final of the Robinson Low Francis North Midlands Championship.
Tom Child, Andy Gallagher, Nick Irwin, Phil Horton and Nick Godfrey were all part of the Worcestershire and Herefordshire side beaten 24-5 by Greater Birmingham at Edwardians RFC on Tuesday, May 4.
Godfrey captained the side, which trailed 24-0 at the break before Spa's former Northampton scrum half Gallagher, making his county debut, scored a close range try.
The match was part of a triangular tournament with Shropshire.
