DOUBT, rumour, and uncertainty? Why are these words being linked in the press with the Mount School?
In fact, our pupils, staff and parents are characterised by optimism, openness and confidence. The future's bright for pupils of the Mount School. We have a long-standing record of academic and pastoral excellence: our children are skilfully nurtured from kindergarten through to 11+ by an extremely dedicated and well qualified staff.
Youngsters leave the Mount as well-rounded, confident, caring young people ready to go on to develop their talents and skills in a wide variety of secondary schools, some even winning scholarships to the area's finest schools. Many excel in music, sport and performing arts. Mathematics and science are strong points too. All gain IT skills and many have a way with words, producing outstanding examples of creative writing and poetry.
It is the site that is the subject of a planning appeal, not the Mount School itself! The Mount School is more than just a spot on a plan of Bromsgrove. What really puts us on the map is the quality of education our children receive there. It is not the building that persuades new parents to enrol their children at the Mount: it is the ethos of the place, the joy and enthusiasm for the life of the school, its vibrancy and its family atmosphere.
That's what captivates our prospective parents, and what keeps us all determined that the Mount School is not for closing!
