MORE than 25,000 people dived into Butlins Swimathon 2004 in March and swam an incredible 20,000 miles for Macmillan Cancer Relief - that's almost once around the world!
Aided by the new online personal trainer facility, swimmers across the UK went to extra lengths for charity at over 500 swimming pools.
It's now very important that this achievement is justly rewarded and all the sponsorship money pledged by family and friends is collected and sent to: Butlins Swimathon 2004, PO Box 30775, London WC1B 4QE.
Money raised through Butlins Swimathon 2004 will help Macmillan fund specialist doctors and nurses, buildings for cancer treatment and care, and grants for people in financial difficulties. Fifteen percent of the amount raised will be distributed to smaller local charities by the Swimathon Foundation.
There are lots of incentives on offer as long as sponsorship money is sent in by 28 May 2004. Depending on the amount you raise there are exclusive Butlins Swimathon water bottles, T-shirts, sports bags, watches and Butlins day visit passes, holiday discounts and free holidays on offer. Anyone who raises more than £1,000 will receive all these gifts and will be entered automatically into a prize draw to win a fantastic Sony Playstation games console!
On behalf of Butlins Swimathon 2004, Macmillan Cancer Relief and the Swimathon Foundation, thank you once again for making this the world's largest fundraising swim and please, please, please get your money in as soon as possible so it can start making a difference.
