A FLOURISHING Bromsgrove drama group is asking townsfolk 'Let us Entertain You' with their latest show.
The Lickey Players are staging two nights of sizzling entertainment at the nearby parish hall in Old Birmingham Road this Friday and Saturday.
The show involves songs, dances, short sketches, a one-act play and new material penned by playwright and Lickey Players chairman Anne Barwood.
Award-winning singer Emma Hobday will appear in both shows, which start at 7.30pm.
Tables have been set up in the parish hall to create a cabaret-like atmosphere and residents can bring their own drinks.
"A vodka martini always makes an evening complete," suggested Anne.
The Lickey Players formed in 1972 and put on annual shows and pantomimes, bringing colourful entertainment to fun-loving villagers.
Last Christmas they put on a lavish performance of family favourite Cinderella, starring comedy duo 'The Sutton Brothers' as the ugly sisters. Penny Holbeche, the group's longest serving member, played Buttons.
The group is always looking for new members, including people to help behind the scenes. They meet every Wednesday at Lickey Parish Hall at 7.30pm.
Tickets for this weekend's show, priced £4.50 for adults and £3 for children, are available from Irene Scott on 0121 445 2600 or 07713700978.
