THE title of Mrs Anita Wright's demonstration at the Rosehill Flower Arrangement Society's April meeting was Purely for Pleasure, and this is what coming to the Lickey Parish Hall at 2pm on the second Monday of the month really is.
Mrs Wright captivated the audience with her delightful arrangements, together with her horticultural and flower arranging advice.
It was obvious from her enthusiasm that, to her, flowers and gardening were pure pleasure.
Her arrangements depicted many of the experiences which gave her joy -- Easter rabbits, horse riding, birds in the garden and music.
At the conclusion, the stage was a rainbow of colour with purple stocks, pink and mauve lilies, white and yellow roses, bronze and pink chrysanthemum, pink carnations, Singapore orchids, bronze freesias, lisianthus, liatris, red anthuriums and gerbras of all colours.
Three of the six arrangements each had two placements, which gave much pleasure to the nine fortunate ladies whose numbers were drawn in the raffle.
