A TWINKLE-TOED teenager has won yet another award in the European Dance 2004 championships.
Seventeen-year-old dancing sensation Cherrelle Crooke, of Croft Close, Winyates, came fourth in the event, which was held at Pontins in Brean between April 23-27.
Mum Samantha Crooke said Cherrelle was more nervous this time than at any other performing in front of an audience of 2,500 people.
She said: "She used to be quite shy but dancing has filled her with confidence."
Cherrelle, who has been dancing since she was six, is studying A levels - including one in performing arts - at Kingsley College and attends Gemini Dance School in Matchborough four times a week.
Over the past year, she has won third prize in the Disco Queen championships in Blackpool, third in the Great Britain Championships at the Winter Gardens and was runner-up in Dancer of the Year last November.
Mrs Crooke puts her daughter's success down to determination and the dedication of teachers Beryl Hill and Samantha Williams at Gemini Dance School.
