MIKE Knight had busy weekend of racing on two days last weekend.
The Cycle Stuff member rode the Corinium CC Open ten-mile Time Trial last Saturday on the U48 course near Ashton Keynes.
It was another miserable day weather wise but, undeterred, Knight produced another great ride to finish in fourth place in a time of 22 minutes and 13 seconds.
Knight travelled down to Ross-on-Wye the next day for the R25/25 course, part of the District Time Trial Series.
Rated as a hilly event, it was one that the Vale rider isn't best suited to. However, he produced another fast time to finish fifth in 1.09.23.
Winner Gavin Pardoe (Stourbridge CC) clocked 1.04.30.
Sunday's club run was led by Stuart Smith on a brisk ride out to Moreton-in-Marsh. Leaving Evesham in damp conditions, members rode out to Badsey and Bretforton before getting into the lanes through Honeybourne and on to Mickleton.
They then climbed up to Ilmington, from where they continued at a good pace to Shipston. They crossed the River Stour before changing direction and getting back into the quieter roads through Willington and Todenham before stopping at Moreton for coffee.
The return was in contrast to the outward flatter route as the riders climbed up to Batsford before descending into Draycott.
They continued on rolling roads to Broad Campden and Chipping Campden where, once descending Aston Bank, they took to the flatter roads via Willersey, Broadway and Childswickham before reaching Evesham having covered 49 miles.
