BOWLS: Holders Franche A slipped up at unbeaten Brintons A with a 129-110 defeat in the Kidderminster and District Mid-week League.

Stourport B broke their duck with a first win at home to Bewdley A, while Kinver B moved into second place by beating bottom-of-the-table St Johns Tomkinsons.

Cookley A are yet to fall in Division Two and they registered a 77-shot thrashing for Stourport D's first defeat of the season.

Stourport WMC Vic are also flying after a victory over Kinver A lifted them into the runners-up position.

Division Three leaders Bewdley C clinched a narrow win at Brintons B and are proving difficult to beat.
