CAMPAIGN group Fathers for Justice is set to hold the inaugural meeting of its Worcester branch tonight.
The organisation, which has 8,000 members nationally, promotes itself as a civil rights group which stands up for the rights of fathers to see their children.
The new Worcester branch will hold meetings once a month, with tonight's held at 7.30pm at The Poachers Pocket pub, in Berkeley Way, Warndon.
Fathers for Justice hit the headlines at the end of April after three members, dressed as superheroes, protested on the roof of Worcester's Crown Court.
"The Worcester branch has been set up after tremendous support, not only after the "superhero" protest but also a public awareness morning in Worcester High Street, when 500 people signed a petition and over £180 was donated," said co-ordinator Terry Hunt.
The group also held a 30-minute sit-in demonstration at Cafcass - Children and family court advisory and support service - offices in The Butts, in April.
On Fathers Day - June 18 - Fathers for Justice plan to march in London to lobby the government.
