WYRE Forest Brintons have ended their two-year association and quit the West Midlands League.
Their final season as a combined side ended with a 2-1 Division One South defeat at Ledbury Town Reserves on Saturday.
Both sides will join the Kidderminster and District League for the next campaign due to rising costs and players being unwilling to travel.
Graham Chadbourne, Colin Edwards and joint manager Terry Salters have worked hard behind the scenes during the team's time at the higher level.
On Saturday, Forest Brintons fielded seven players aged under 16 and Joe Wassell, the other joint team boss, had to make up the team.
The first half was goal-less but in the second half the visitors took the lead when Tom Wassell laid on an easy pass and J Wassell side-footed home.
However, they could not hold on to the lead with two players struggling due to groin strains and goals from Pat Locke and James Dean sent Forest Brintons to their 15th league defeat of the season.
Shaun Perry, Wayne Berry and Lewis Clarke were the only regulars in this fixture, a sad indictment of a team with 49 signed players.
