On April 22, Bryn White gave a talk on pelargoniums to around 40 members.
He not only talked about the geranium family, but had also taken some plants to sell. He interspersed his talk with anecdotes and jokes.
Mr White and his wife Jennie specialise in producing over 200 scented leaved pelargoniums, quite a few of which are their own unique species. He attends up to 40 shows and plant fairs each year.
On Wednesday, Judy Berrow will talk about the National Gardens Scheme, at Astley village hall.
The doors will be open at 7.30pm, with the talk starting at 8pm. Members are reminded to take along their entry for the flower of the month competition.
The open garden scheme will be held in Astley on June 13.
There are still a few places available for the organised garden visits.
May 23 - day trip to Bodnant Gardens, near Colwyn Bay, north Wales, June 16 - evening visit with guide to Birmingham Botanical Gardens, July 14 - evening visit to Orleton House, Stanford Bridge.
