A PHOTOGRAPHIC exhibition of goalposts and a collections of items to mark the double anniversary of Cheltenham-born composer and musician Gustav Holst make up two exhibitions currently running at Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum.
Playing Away, a selection of photographs by Neville Gabie, illustrate the universal love for the game of football and provides an innovative way of looking at the landscape both at home and abroad.
His photographs record some of the world's most ingenious goalposts, including some made of old telegraph poles, painted bricks and twigs. The exhibition runs at the gallery in Clarence Street until Saturday, July 17 and admission is free.
The Gustav Holst exhibition, which runs until Saturday, June 19, marks 130 years since the composer's birth and 70 years since his death.
The exhibition takes a fresh look at aspects of his life and work, many of which relate to the ideas of the Arts and Crafts movement.
A unique selection of items from private collections, the museum's own reserve collection and from the Royal College of Music form the body of this show.
