Ray Sturdy FRGS, a fund-raiser for MENCAP, gave a talk on "Travels through New Zealand" at a recent meeting of the institute.
Members were reminded of the greeting card competition, the winner to be decided by members, who will place 5p on the card of their choice, and money raised will be donated to Associated Country Women of the World.
The date for the strawberry tea has been brought forward to June 30, from 2pm until 4pm.
Other events in the diary are tea in the garden at Astley village hall on May 26, from 2pm until 4pm; Old Tyme entertainment at the Rose Theatre, Kidderminster - booking through the theatre box office on 01562 743745; a walk on the Malverns, from 10am until noon on Monday, June 21; outing to Tewkesbury, with a river trip, on Wednesday, July 28.
The resolutions meeting will be held on Wednesday at 10am in the Memorial Park community centre, Stourport.
