THIS year's St Leonard's Music Festival in Bledington, near Stow, offers concert-goers a rich variety of sounds. The opening performance on Tuesday, June 1, is by Mvsica Donvm Dei - who will play a selection of music celebrating birdsong, flowers and romance, including Sweeter than Roses and Masque of the Seasons from Purcell's The Fairy Queen.
On Wednesday, June 2 Three Reeds & Bassoon will perform a programme that includes Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Schubert's German Dances and Johann Strauss' Morning Papers.
The final performance on Thursday, June 3, is by the UK's foremost Jewish music ensemble The Burning Bush, who will be playing songs from the ghetto, Russian Hassidic melodies, songs from Yiddish theatre and the rhythms of the old Ottoman world.
Tickets cost £10 each, £5 for children under 16, and are available from Bledington Stores or from the festival box office on 01608 658669 or 01608 658610. All concerts take place in St Leonard's Church and begin at 7.30pm.
