WYRE Forest MP Richard Taylor is helping to highlight the safer sex message by giving his backing to National Condom Week.
The campaign runs all this week and assists healthcare professionals and teachers to educate young people about the dangers of unprotected sex.
Dr Taylor said: "Good information about looking after your sexual health is necessary if we are to fight the worrying number of cases of sexually transmitted infections and teenage pregnancy in the UK."
Durex, the company which organises the week, is also making a major donation to the HIV/Aids charity Terrence Higgins Trust by giving 50p for every pack of its condoms sold in Superdrug this week.
