THE Friends of Castlemorton School wish to thank all those who supported the recent auction of promises. Over 100 donors offered a wonderful selection of promises covering a variety of interests. The school hall was full of bidders last Friday evening, who were also very generous in bids, encouraged by our very competent guest auctioneer, Sophie Hutton. By the end, in excess of £3,000, well beyond expectation, was raised for improvements to school playground facilities.
The next meeting of Castlemorton Gardening Club is on Thursday, May 20, at 7.45pm at the Parish Hall. Maurice Bracher, head gardener of Burford House Garden, Tenbury Wells is giving a talk on all aspects of growing clematis. Prior to this will be the annual meeting starting at 7.30pm. An outing has been arranged on June 3 to Eastgrove Cottage Garden and Witley Court. All welcome, ring 01684 833604.
