Two of this week's items have a common thread - they are both to do with the Cordery Club. On May 20, there is an outing to the popular venue of Bourton-on-the-Water, leaving Welland's Village Hall at 10.30am. On June 3, there will be a talk and demonstration on relaxation by Deborah George. All are welcome to both events.
The other item is to do with the Friends of Welland annual August Bank Holiday funday event. This year they want teams of five persons, over the age of 14, to enter a competition. They have managed to secure, for one day only, Europe's largest assault course and you will be competing, on a Knockout basis (not literally, we hope), for the main prize of £200. The non-refundable entry, however is £50 per team (£10 per person).
There will also be many other attractions on the day, including pony and trap rides, a smaller bouncy castle, the popular ladder game, darts and many other activities for all the family. More details to follow.
