AN Evesham woman has revamped her living room, bedroom and kitchen after a whirlwind visit from a top interior designer.
Trudy Andrew of Barnards Close opened her doors to Anna Ryder Richardson and her 'two strong boys' for BBC1 series House Invaders, screened this autumn. She applied for the makeover show, which recycles items around the home, after spotting a story in the Journal.
The mother of two said: "There is nothing about this house that I really like and I wanted the wow factor but I could not afford to do it myself. The story in the Journal was a godsend. But I'm a bag of nerves - and I'm getting hot flushes with all these blokes in my house!"
The recycling theme forces designers to draw on their ingenuity more than their budget, and Miss Ryder Richardson said the project was going well. She added: "It is always a bit of a mad dash but we have had no problems yet. The whole point of House Invaders is that it is a quick fix - it is not about spending money, it is about using what you've got."
