STUDENTS of Turners Tae Kwon Do, who train at the Upton's Hill Community Centre, gained further success and more medals at the annual Global Tae Kwon Do International (GIT) English championships, held at the Haydon Centre in Swindon.
This is an annual event which was attended by many skilled fighters from all over Britain and Ireland.
The day started with junior coloured belt forms, in which Joe Ward performed very well and narrowly missed out on gold, taking a well deserved silver.
Junior sparring shortly followed, which saw Catherine Densham fighting with great enthusiasm, in this her first ever competition and taking bronze.
Junior sparring also saw Katie Cairns fight extremely well in a large category of skilled competitors to take a hard earned silver.
As the day drew to an end it was the turn of assistant instructor Caine Turner to compete in the men's middle weight black belt sparring.
Turner fought well against some seasoned competitors and took home the final bronze for the club
The students train on Mondays and Sundays 6-7pm and Wednesdays 7-8pm.
