A HOT dose of New Orleans jazz awaits visitors to Hanley Castle High School when the New Black Eagle Jazz Band takes to the stage.
The band draws its repertoire from a whole range of New Orleans music, from hot 20s classics to Preservation Hall standards, Ellingtonia and more.
The line up features Tony Pringle on cornet, Stan Vincent on trombone, Billy Novick on clarinet and sax, Peter Bullis on banjo, Bob Pilsbury on piano, Pam Pameijer on drums and Barry Bockus on bass.
The gig, organised by the Friends of Upton Jazz Festival, is on Thursday, May 20, at 8pm. Tickets are £10 or £8 for members. For more information or to book tickets, call 01684 593794.
