I DON'T blame Mrs M Large for launching a personal attack on me (You Say, Tuesday, April 27).
It was inevitable after her anti-hunting allegations had been continually disproved. It is all so easy to fall for the insidious propaganda peddled by the so-called animal rights movement.
I hope Mrs Large will eventually take up my invitation to a hunt kennels. The knowledge gained might enable her to focus on hunting, rather than me.
Regarding the opinion poll Mrs Large proposes for veterinary surgeons on the subject of hunting, such a poll has already been independently conducted by NOP.
It found the majority of vets in favour of fox control and hunting. Thankfully, professional vets do appreciate just how much animal welfare would decline following a hunt ban.
The old chestnut of drag hunting as a substitute for traditional hunting is a non-starter. The last attempt to convert a hunt to a drag hunt proved a dismal failure.
