THE only fixture Worcester Nomads succeeded in playing on another frustrating weekend saw a Sunday 2nd XI heavily outgunned by Kays at the Cinderella ground.
KAYS v WORCESTER NOMADS SUNDAY II
Despite winning the toss, Nomads found the going hard work, with a sticky wicket and long outfield contributing to the struggle for runs. Tony Neal was in his usual economic mode, and Nomads failed to come to terms with him as he took 6-24. Nomads struggled to post a total of 80, and without the patience of skipper Dave Pearson, who led from the front with 38, the side would have made life even harder for themselves.
Kays made rapid inroads into the target, with Beck prepared to have a go at everything in a rapid innings of 42. Fellow opener Clark made an unbeaten 33 as Kays cruised to victory by nine wickets.
