AMBULANCE staff from Hereford and Worcester will be donning new corporate uniforms that aim to help them be more flexible when assisting patients.
Over the next two weeks, crews who work as patient carers for Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service NHS Trust will be trying on their new uniforms.
Staff whose job is in the Patient Transport Service, the High Dependency Service or the GP Out of Hours service have all received new uniforms and the date of the official change-over is Monday, May 24.
Patient carer Marcella Williams said: "The new blouse and trousers are really comfortable and the vent at the back allows me to have more flexible movement when I assist a patient."
The open neck blouse and shirts are in mint green with a vented back and the new trousers are grey.
Gary Fleet, a patient carer for the High Dependency Service at the trust, added: "I especially prefer the open necked shirt as I do not like wearing a tie and when I am leaning over a patient the tie can be obstructive.
"There are lots of extra pockets and I can put a pen in the pocket on my arm."
Ambulance Trust Paramedics and Technicians will not be changing their uniforms.
