JAN Molby has warned his Kidder-minster Harriers players that they can expect a 'very tough' time when they report back for training on Monday, July 5.
The Aggborough director of football says he intends to adopt a no-nonsense approach during the Aggborough outfit's build up to next season's campaign in the Nationwide League Division Three.
The former Liverpool ace said: "We'll be doing everything we can during the summer to make sure the players are fit and raring to go in time for the first game on August 7.
"With a new season everybody starts with a clean slate and must prove their worth again, regardless of how they have performed in the past.
"The players will start back again on July 5 and they will be under no illusions that they will be in for a very tough summer.
"There will be fewer days off and more training, which will also be much harder.
"Players who in the past we have given some leeway and time to produce the goods will instantly know I will not be prepared to wait too long anymore."
Molby accepts that last season, when Harriers finished 16th, was disappointing, but is optimistic about the future.
The Dane, who released nine players earlier this week, said: "I'm under no illusions that next season won't be as difficult but, with a lot of hard work, dedication and a little bit of luck, who is to say we can't try and make a few waves next season."
